He has an extensive education in the field of theater and acting

Liev Schreiber took his acting career seriously and obtained an extensive education in the art of acting, theater and performance art. He attended the famous London Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, Hampshire College in order to work on his craft; he eventually decided to attend the Yale School of Drama, which he earned a Master’s Degree from in 1992.

He appeared in the first three Scream films

The original Scream trilogy (excluding the fourth Scream) was unique in the horror genre because it retained its primary cast throughout each film. The core cast included David Arquette, Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Jamie Kennedy–and Liev Schreiber, who played Cotton Weary.

He’s an accomplished theater actor

While Schreiber may be best known in popular culture for his film roles, he is also an accomplished theater actor. He has earned one Tony Award for his theater career so far: the 2005 Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play, when he appeared as Richard Roma in Glengarry Glen Ross. He was also nominated for two more theater roles: Talk Radio and A View from the Bridge, which both earned him a nomination for Best Actor in a Play.

He was considered for a role in The Dark Knight

Schreiber was one of several actors who were being seriously considered for the role of Harvey Dent/Two-Face in Christopher Nolan’s film, The Dark Knight. Schreiber was actually considered a “fan favorite” for the role, but ultimately the part went to Aaron Eckhart.

He has two children with Naomi Watts

Schreiber has two children with his wife, Naomi Watts. In 2007, they had a son named Alexander Pete, who the couple reportedly calls Sasha. In 2008, they had a son named Samuel Kai.
